What is The Retirement Analysis Kit (TRAK)?

The Retirement Analysis Kit TRAK is a vivid illustration tool for working with participants (in either groups settings or one-on-one) and is designed for educating participants about the various aspects of retirement (including retirement gap, additional savings solution, paycheck illustrations, accumulation, cost to wait, etc). It is designed to be easy to use interactively with participants, or a user may import census data and create individual reports for each member.


What makes TRAK different?

Several key aspects differentiate TRAK from the competition:

  1. Our logo has long been "Software for advisors, by advisors". This is not just marketing hype. It is our distinguishing difference. We were started by an advisor. We understand how critical the communication is in the relationship between advisor and the participant. And our goal is to help advisors in that role.

  2. Because TRAK began in the 403(b) market, it has traditionally been used when working one-on-one. Therefore TRAK has been designed with a clear user interface and the importance of TRAK presenting the illustration clearly has constantly been visually important.

  3. TRAK is the only software that contains almost all of the state defined benefit plans from across the country. (Contact us if you are working with one that is not included and it will be added without additional cost). We also include the federal retirement systems. And easily add your own defined contribution plans. This makes illustrating a client's retirement gap quick and easy.

How can I get up to speed with TRAK?

We understand how getting up to speed and using TRAK is important to you. We provide a number of methods for getting up to speed on using TRAK:

Overview Guide

In TRAK's "Tools" menu is an TRAK Overview guide. At current just over 400 pages, it may seem like a bit much, so just focus on the calculator you want to use: when opened in the Adobe reader, the left side will have bookmarks. Expand the "TRAK Programs" and select the calculator you want to learn. Then right click over it and click "Print Pages". This will provide an excellent way to get up to speed with TRAK!

Help File

We are constantly updating the help file provided with TRAK. Please refer to these when needing help.

Web Training

Get trained on the specific module that you need to get up to speed on. We have weekly web training classes at $35 per class or $89 for 3 classes. Click here to see the training schedule.

What support does Trust Builder's Inc. offer?

Besides the previously listed methods of getting up to speed using The Retirement Analysis Kit, we provide both e-mail and phone support:

E-mail Support

Send an e-mail to support@TBInc.com and we will try to respond to it quickly. Please include the version of TRAK you are working with.

Phone Support

We are glad to provide phone support. The first two phone calls after initial purchase or annual renewal are free. We reserve the right to charge for additional calls at $25 per 30 minute segments. If the call is the result of a bug in the software, or is not covered in other training material, there will be no charge.


If I purchase TRAK, what about upgrades?

We are constantly making improvements to TRAK. When you purchase TRAK, you purchase a one year license to use TRAK. There is not charge for upgrades during your license period.


How long has Trust Builders, Inc. been around?

Over 25 years. We started as The Annuity People, Inc. creating software in 1982, initially used internally, and soon after starting selling to help other advisors work with their clients. In 2006 we changed our company name to Trust Builders, Inc.


Can TRAK be customized for a corporation?

Yes. TRAK can be customized for a corporation. TRAK has been customized for a number of companies. Customization includes renaming the application, custom splash screens, branding of reports and custom disclaimers. Call us for pricing and more information.
